I love photographing first birthdays. That age is just so fun and full of wonder and excitement. You should know, if you book a first birthday with me, I will be taking bath shots after they have their cake because in a few years, those are the shots you will look back on and say "Awe, remember when they were so little we could bathe them in the sink?" or "Remember how every time we bathed her she used to try and drink the water from the faucet and would throw a fit when we turned it off?"
Happy First Birthday Kate
Kate and her older brother are just the cutest, and I loved being able to capture her first birthday and a few for his third birthday. She loved her cake and almost dove head first into it at one point.
Nicholas' first birthday
Nothing is better than watching a family interact and being able to capture them as they are. After Nicholas had some cake I documented his life as a one year old. Having a cake smash is cute, but those are not the photos that will be treasured in 20, 30, 40 years. Reaching up into the arms of your mom, or giving her a gummy smile are the ones that will bring tears to the eyes one day, and I am so joyful that my clients trust me to do this for them.
Bebe's First Birthday
Bebe's mom is a friend of mine from high school who also happens to be a photographer in Vegas. I was thrilled to do a family/first birthday session for Bebe, but she was NOT thrilled by the cake part LOL. Unfortunately their visit to NY was just before everything came into bloom, however, the backdrop is still beautiful.
Hot Pink First Birthday
How cute is this little one? She didn't seem to like to eat the cake as much as she liked to play and "paint" with it. She was just as cute as could be and was so funny because she loved to crawl right towards my lens, not sure if she saw her reflection or was just wondering what the heck it was, but it made for some really cute shots.
